Prayer Day with Jonathan Oloyede |
A preliminary notice that Jonathan will be with us in Exeter for the morning and afternoon of Saturday, March 31st 2012. He is the lead ministry responsible for the large prayer events at Wembley, one of which happened this year on September 17th, the next, and larger one, on 29/09/2012 called 'Carry the Torch' (see Events entry). Exeter Walk of Witness 2012 |
On Good Friday, April 6th, Exeter churches will join together once again for the Walk of Witness. This will begin with an Exeter Cathedral service at 10 AM, followed by the walk with accompanying theatre presentations around the city from 10:45 AM. All are welcome. Please pray for this event which has been widely supported and very effective in recent years. |

Olympic Torch Relay reaches Exeter |
The 70 day Torch relay (May 19th - 27th July begins at Lands End and via Plymouth will be welcomed in Exeter on Sunday May 20th 2012. Nationally there is a plan for the whole route to be preceded by and covered by prayer. More news later. |

Pray for the Queen |
June 2nd 2012 is the Queen's Diamond Jubilee remembering her 60 years as monarch. The celebrations will centre around an extended weekend in 2012 on 2, 3, 4 and 5 June. The 2012 late May bank holiday will be moved to Monday 4 June 2012 and an additional Jubilee bank holiday will be on Tuesday 5 June 2012. One plan is for "the 2012 Big Lunch" on Sunday June 3rd! Maybe churches could get involved in doing this for communities.

Wembley Stadium National Prayer Event |
Book this in your diary! After a successful leaders prayer event of 1000 people on September 17th 2011 it was felt confirmed to proceed to fill the whole stadium with people from across the country on 29th September 2012. Pray for this occasion. See the You Tube short video link below. |
